Nathan Eyre – Co-Founder
Nathan Eyre & Matthew Nord started Summer of Rock together in 2007. Nathan was instrumental in starting the camp and brought terrific energy and expertise to the camp. He grew up in Missoula, Mt and has been playing music since age 6, starting with piano then moving to guitar. His passion for teaching and performing led him to Nashville in 2004 to cut his first CD where he learned the important techniques of recording. During his years teaching, Nathan found that there were many students confused about music theory, especially on guitar. After writing a few lessons for his students, Nathan realized he had an easy way for teaching theory. Three years later and quite a few rough drafts, Nathan has published two books for guitar. Mastering Guitar Techniques and Fretboard Theory for Guitar.
Nathan now teaches private lessons in Polson, Mt where he focuses on a strong music theory background and uses the latest technology in guitar, keyboards and recording equipment to teach kids and adults the beauty of music. Please feel free to check out his web site for free piano and guitar jam tracks.

Bruce Threlkeld – 3rd Year Instructor
Percussion, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin
Bruce has taught music lessons for almost three decades on a number of instruments, including drums, guitar, tenor & 5-string banjo, mandolin and dobro. He has developed musical curriculum and has taught courses in other fields, ranging from wilderness education and scuba diving classes to college-level forestry and writing courses. His approach is to instruct in a personalized format according to the goals and aptitude of the student. He currently plays with several Montana bands including The Bop-a-dips (drummer), John Floridis (drummer), The Country Kings (drummer), Quartet Caribe (drummer), The Acousticals (upright bass), and solo gigs playing guitar, banjo, and mandolin.
